Kissing October Goodbye...

Well everyone, the time has come to kiss my October goodbye! :-( I had a great weekend leading up to the 31st, and my 18th birthday was all that I could've asked for. On Friday, I went to the last home football game at my former high school to support the seniors on their senior night. There, I met up with a few of my friends and spent time at one of their houses once the game ended. They had cake and ice cream there and everyone wished another girl and I happy "early" birthdays. I thought it was really nice!

On Saturday, my room mate and I drove to Athens to meet friends of ours from high school who now attend OU. Needless to say, we went to the Halloween party and had a good time! I dressed up as a "Good Angel/Bad Angel" and my room mate was "Dorothy" from The Wizard of Oz. We laughed, danced, went to parties on the strips, and tried our best to make it through Court Street with more people than I think I've ever seen in one particular place! It was really nice getting to see my girls. Three of us were celebrating October birthdays!

On Sunday I spent some time with my family. They're so very important to me, and I'm glad that Cap is so close to home! In addition to visiting with my parents, I got to see my little cousin, who, in my opinion, is the cutest thing EVER! I also got to see my Grandma for a while, which is always a special occasion. :-)

Then, the day came..my 18th birthday, on Monday! I received more birthday wishes than I could count because of Facebook..lol..and that made me feel so special! I also received phone calls from people I've missed terribly since we graduated from high school, and that meant a lot to me. Further, one of the sweetest guys at Cap, Rob, wrote me a song, and he even took the time to record it on a cd! It's really cute; no one has ever done that for me before. Finally, my parents, and I went to dinner at Smith and Wollensky's up at Easton.

My parents had flowers and a teddy bear waiting for me on the table when we arrived, we were seated in one of the nicest areas of the room; right next to the fire place, and the food was wonderful! We had a really great time.

That pretty much sums up one of the best weekends I've had so far here at Cap! Thanks again to everyone who did even the most simple of things to make sure that I had a really great birthday. I'll never forget it!

Now it's on to November..I hope this month is just as wonderful as my lovely October! :-)
