Capital University again was ranked among the top Midwest master’s universities by U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best Colleges 2010. Capital placed 22nd out of 142 master’s schools in the Midwest.
It was ranked fifth out of 14 ranked master’s schools in Ohio. When all four regions are combined for master’s universities, Capital ranked 87th among 572 institutions nationwide, placing it in the top 16 percent of master’s universities across the United States.
“Capital has a proud history of being counted among the nation’s top master’s universities, and we welcome this external validation by U.S. News & World Report,” President Denvy A. Bowman said. “Our students are engaged by a renowned faculty that delivers rigorous coursework with deep roots in the liberal arts and Lutheran tradition. Their professional experiences and connections gained through relevant internships in a capital city position them for purposeful lives and careers when they graduate. For these reasons, Capital remains on the short list for the nation’s top master’s universities, and the Capital education continues to be in high demand."
