Hello all, my name is Matt Steele and I'm a freshman nursing major. So far, things are going great at Capital. Orientation has come and gone, and we're in the full swing of things with class and numerous activities.
So why did I choose Capital???? I had visited numerous campuses looking for a good "nursing college". But once I visited Capital, it just clicked. Everything seemed right, the campus, the people, the program, etc. etc. The nursing staff were excellent, they made you feel not just like another number, but an individual that was valued.
But why nursing??? Well, long story short, I played football and baseball in high school and during that time I was inured a few times. I have a 3 inch scar on my shoulder from the shoulder repair. I had dislocated and separated it so many times I'd lost count. I had also broke my nose twice, and got that fixed with surgery. Both of these surgeries, I had excellent nurses that made a tremendous difference. Consequently, I decided to be a nurse to do the same thing, make a real difference in people's lives.
Capital is a great place to go to college at. It's not too big or too small, and it's located in a great part of Columbus(Bexley), and Columbus rocks! Their's plenty to do around here. Got some great friends, and we keep real busy with all the school work, our jobs, and working out(the Cap Center is awesome). Their are plenty of clubs and organizations to join. You can make your experience as good as you want it to be! Well, what a long winded first post! Matthew
