MEN’S GOLF HOLDS IN EIGHTH PLACE AT MT. UNION INVITATIONAL

COMPLETE RESULTS 

ALLIANCE, Ohio - Capital remained steady en route to an eighth place finish out of 11 teams at the 2009 Mount Union Fall Invitational, which concluded on Monday.

Senior Jesse Moss (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson HS) made the biggest move from Sunday's first round to Monday's second round.  He went from 43rd place to a tie for 18th position.  After carding a 79 on Sunday, Moss came back with a 75 on Monday for a two-round total of 154.

Classmate Daniel Zaborsky (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Scioto HS) was just one stoke behind Moss with a combined total of 155.  He shot a 77 in the first round and a 78 in the second to tie for 23rd place out of 85 golfers.

Fellow senior James Koon (Bexley, Ohio/Bexley HS) also shot a final round 78 and had a combined score of 157 to finish in a tie for 36th place.

Freshman Brandon Lortz (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington HS) and sophomore Cameron Baker (Lima, Ohio/Spencerville HS) tied for 50th place with a two-round score of 160.  Baker shot a 79 on Monday while Lortz had a 82.

Junior Andy Garcia (Miami, Fla./Palmetto HS) rounded out the Crusaders in action with a 56th place finish.  He shot an 81 on Monday for a total score of 161.

Capital returns to action on Saturday at the Manchester Invitational.
