The Crusaders (7-3-2, 1-0-0 OAC) once again rode the strong goalkeeping of junior Linley Vermillion (Englewood, Ohio/Northmont HS) to its sixth shutout victory of the season. Overall, Vermillion has posted four shutouts this fall and leads the OAC with a 0.35 GAA.

The lone goal of the match came in the 63rd minute when a Capital player was fouled just outside the top right corner of the box. One the reset, junior Kaylee Phillips (Watkins, Ohio/Watkins Memorial HS) ran over top of the ball to allow classmate Samantha Shaffer (Englewood, Ohio/Northmont HS) to start the play.
