Thanksgiving!

Hey everyone! I'm on break this week, but I haven't forgotten about you! :-) I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, because I most certainly did!

Once I finished cleaning the dorm with my room mate on Tuesday, I headed straight home to spend the afternoon with my mom. She and I went shopping with my Uncle and my little cousins. Later, we came back to the house. I spent time with my dad; catching up with him on his new hobby of hunting! Not long after that, I climbed into the most comfortable bed in the universe..MINE..and slept for hours! I guess I really needed the rest because there's never a dull moment at Cap!

On Wednesday I slept in until 2 o'clock in the afternoon, simply because I could! It was such a treat not having to wake up at 8 a.m. for Algebra! Later, I went to church with my mom where my youth group conducted the service. It was really nice visiting with people I haven't seen in a while.

Once the service ended, my mom and I came home to prepare food for our family's traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Normally, I hate being in the kitchen, but this time I tried my best to remain optimistic about cooking! I baked a cake and fixed potato salad, a casserole, and dinner rolls this year. Yum!

My family and I ate Thanksgiving dinner over at my Grandma's house. The food was delicious, we laughed and joked, and had a really wonderful time. While I love being with my friends throughout the course of the week, there's nothing like spending quality time with my loved ones!

That's my update! As the week comes to a close, I'll get ready to head back to campus and begin studying for my first set of finals. Wish me luck! I'll write more soon! :-)
