Student Honors Council at Breakfast

Capital's student Honors Council gets together monthly for a working breakfast at Cosi, a casual restaurant across the street from campus. The breakfast usually includes several students from the council and a couple of faculty members. Pictured here (left to right) are Dr. Stephen Baker who is the director of the Honors Program and a professor of economics in the School of Management; Sara, a 2006 Capital graduate who majored in economics; Dr. Laurel Talabere, a professor in the School of Nursing; and Stephanie, a history major who graduated in May 2008.

Do you have a questioning mind and high academic expectations? If so, why not join a community of Capital students who are as passionate as you are? The Honors Program at Capital recognizes that students learn from each other. We seek to encourage stimulating interactions between talented students. We also seek to provide opportunities for students to interact with professors from across the university and with visiting scholars.

It's a learning experience that will enrich your life and your career long after you graduate from Capital.

Capital's Honors Program is open to students in all academic disciplines who meet the entry requirements for the program. Honors students, and other high achieving students, may also be eligible to join one of Capital’s many honor societies that recognize achievement in a particular major or discipline.

Capital University's Honors Program is affiliated with the National Collegiate Honors Council.
