COMPLETE RESULTS DELAWARE, Ohio - The Capital University men's and women's indoor track & field teams participated in the Ohio Wesleyan Triangular on Friday evening.
Senior Jessica Starks (Akron, Ohio/Akron East HS) was the lone Crusader to win multiple events as she took the 55 dash with a time of 7.43 in the finals and the 200 dash with a mark of 26.63.
The trio of Mallory Molls, Emily Goerig and Homa Moheimani each won their respective field events.
Molls (Brunswick, Ohio/Brunswick HS) was the top competitor in the pole vault at 10'-00" and was followed by Corinne Salva (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Fredericktown HS) in third place at a height of 9'-6.25".
Goerig (Leetonia, Ohio/Leetonia HS) won the shot put with a toss of 39'-10.00" as Becca Steineman was fourth with a throw of 36'-05.00".
Moheimani (Columbus, Ohio/Whetstone HS) was victorious in the weight throw at a distance of 43'-03.25" while classmate Katie Rill (Grandview Heights, Ohio/Grandview Heights HS) was just behind in fourth place at 38'-07.75".
Other top competitors for the CU women were sophomore Karen Steiger (West Branch, Ohio/West Branch HS) who was second in the 55 hurdles (9.48) and the duo of freshman Kiara Johnson (Indian Creek, Ohio/Indian Creek HS) and junior Rachelle Paisley (Tallmadge, Ohio/Tallmadge HS) who were fourth in the 55 dash (8.06) and 400 dash (1:07.17) respectively.
On the men's side, Capital was led by freshman Josh Beaudoin's (Pemberville, Ohio/Eastwood HS) second place finish in the 400 dash with a time of 52.64.
The trio of junior Casey Mason as well as sophomores Sam Roberts and TJ Bock were third in their respective events. Mason (Logan, Ohio/Logan HS) ran a time of 8.41 in the finals of the 55 hurdles. Roberts (Grandview Heights, Ohio/Grandview Heights HS) had a triple jump of 40'-11.00". Bock (Grove City, Ohio/Grove City HS) cleared the bar in the pole vault at 12'-00".
Freshman Ted Cox (Marysville, Ohio/Marysville HS) followed with a fourth place finish in the pole vault at a height of 11'-06.25" while senior Mark Stone (East Knox, Ohio/East Knox HS) had a toss of 40'-00.00" in the shot put.
Capital will head to Baldwin-Wallace for the OAC Relays next Saturday.
