(LOCKBOURNE, Ohio)-Capital University's men's golf team posted its best finish of the season with a fourth place finish at the 2nd annual Capital Purple & White Invitational at the Foxfire Golf Club in Lockbourne, Ohio. Senior Mike Ott (Columbus/Franklin Heights) had the tournament-best 74 and the Crusaders had the tournament's third-best round Saturday with a 321 on the challenging Players Club course layout.

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Capital University has named Jeff Parker head men’s golf coach. Parker spent 16 years as head men’s golf coach at Columbus State Community College where he guided the Cougars to a pair of NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) National Championships in 1993 and 2003. The Cougars advanced to regionals 15 times and claimed seven Ohio Community College Athletic Conference titles.

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)---Capital University's men's golf team shot a two-day total of 623 to finish in second place at the Kisor Classic hosted by Ohio Dominican University at Cumberland Trail Golf Course in Pataskala, Ohio.

(SPRINGFIELD, Ohio)---Capital University's men's golf team followed up a first round 305 with a 312 in the second round to finish in a tie for eighth at the Wittenberg Fall Invitational at Windy Knoll Golf Club in Springfield, Ohio.

(DELAWARE, Ohio)---Sophomore Dan Zaborsky (Dublin/Dublin Scioto) fired a team-low 145 (73-72) to grab a tie for sixth, and Capital University’s men’s golf team finished 11th Tuesday at the 36-hole Lamkin OWU Intercollegiate tournament in Delaware, Ohio.

The Capital University men’s golf team battled the wind and the chilly temperatures to begin the season with a sixth place finish Saturday at the John Carroll Fall Invitational at Fowler’s Mill Golf Course in Chesterland, Ohio.

The Capital University men’s golf team is coming off a season in which they finished seventh in the conference, averaged a team score of 324, and posted a low team score of 304 in the first round of the Muskingum Invitational.
