WOMEN’S SOCCER REACHES NEW HEIGHTS IN 2000sThe Capital women’s soccer team recorded their most successful decade in program history by winning four OAC championships, partaking in two NCAA Tournaments, and producing two All-America selections. Coach Dwight Burgess, who was named the 2006 OAC Women’s Coach of the Year, discussed the program’s best moments over the last 10 years.

WOMEN’S SOCCER CLIPPED IN OVERTIME AT #15 OTTERBEIN, 3-2WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Visiting Capital held a two-goal lead in the second half, but #15 Otterbein charged back for a 3-2 win in double overtime during the OAC women’s soccer regular season finale for both teams on Saturday afternoon. CU will now be the fifth seed in the OAC Tournament which begins with a First Round match on Monday at Wilmington beginning at 7 p.m.
CAPITAL ROLLS TO KEY OAC VICTORY AT HEIDELBERGTIFFIN, Ohio – The Capital women’s soccer team used a goal and an assist each by Kaylee Phillips and Molly Sheils to secure itself of a berth in the first round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament with a 3-1 victory at Heidelberg on Tuesday night.

ROBINSON LEADS CRUSADER WOMEN HONORED BY OACAUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Four Capital University women’s soccer players earned All-OAC recognition on Wednesday including Katie Robinson who was named the 2008 Ohio Athletic Conference Forward of the Year in voting conducted amongst the conference’s head coaches. Midfielder Molly Sheils was also an All-OAC First Team pick while defenders Julie Horton and Ciara McCellan were All-OAC Honorable Mention selections.
