Soon after completing his first graduate degree, he became a member of the Black Swamp Saxophone Quartet, one of the few enduring professional saxophone quartets in the United States. He has held teaching positions in saxophone and jazz studies at the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, and the Toledo School for the Arts, and he is currently on the faculties of Ohio Northern University and Capital University. Mr. Miglia is completing a doctorate in music at the University of Illinois where he studies saxophone with Debra Richtmeyer and jazz composition with Chip McNeill.
