Sharon K. Bennett

Sharon K. Bennett received both her BM and MM in vocal performance from the Eastman School of Music.

An accomplished coloratura soprano, she gave her New York debut at Town Hall and sang at Carnegie Hall opposite Sherrill Milnes as Ophelia in Hamlet. She has performed with opera companies in Germany, Ireland, Scotland, Israel, England, South Africa, Holland and Spain, as well as major companies in the U.S. She has been a soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony, National Orchestra, Hamburg Philharmonic, and Milwaukee Symphony to name a few. She has been a recipient of two Rockefeller Grants, a Corbett Foundation Grant for a European audition tour. Her career has extended to film and television having appeared on NBC's Unsolved Mysteries and in the title role of a movie made in the Netherlands. Locally, Bennett has appeared with Cantari Singers of Columbus, Cecilian Singers, and Actor's Theatre.
