Spring Break...it's almost here!

Hey everyone! Once again, it's been forever since I've written. So many things have happened. I honestly don't know if I can list them all in one post...but I'll try!

First, I must take this opportunity to pay my respects. I know that it happened in January, but I couldn't truly claim to love the Steelers if I didn't publicly congratulate them on their Super Bowl win! If you're offended, I'm sorry. I'm from Pittsburgh and I'm loyal! At least I know my family and Marta will continue reading!

Moving right along...this month has been so much fun! I continue to work hard in all of my classes but I've also allotted time for a little bit of excitement; even a few of my professors are catching on. In Global Awareness we're playing The India Game, which will last the majority of the second semester. We've been seperated into groups, with specific roles, and are responsible for rebuilding and uniting India. Initially, I thought that the game would be too much of a challenge, but now that it has commensed, I'm thoroughly enjoying it! We also had our first fiesta in Spanish. The food was to die for and the presentations were neat!

Outside of the classroom, the highlight of my month was Valentine's Day! My wonderful boyfriend came to visit from Cleveland and did the cutest thing at exactly 12 a.m. I walked into my room to find candles, a pink teddy bear, and the prettiest jewelry box I've ever seen. Inside the box was an even better surprise! I would tell you, but on this occasion, I prefer the suspense! After classes that day, we went to dinner at Easton. It was such a treat! A girl could get used to such things every week!

I must also mention that the girls on my floor are just as sweet as my boyfriend! On Valentine's Day, they dropped off the cutest Valentines and left messages on our door to make sure that we felt loved! How precious!

Aside from all of that, I've spent a little bit of time catching up with friends from high school. Last weekend, one of them stopped by to hang out at my dorm. We double dated with our boyfriends, watched the Slam Dunk Contest with them, followed by a movie of our choice, and sent them to Graeter's to buy us ice cream! I love relaxing evenings!

Lately, throughout the course of the week, things have been anything but relaxing in our dorms! New pledges are rushing now, and with that comes a lot of excitement. My roommate is a new Zeta and she's constantly on the go! They've decorated our door and there's zebra all over the room! I'm really happy for her, and everyone else gone Greek! :-)

I prefer to spend my time doing other things on campus. The best event that I've attended as of late, was University Programming's Poetry Slam Night. The special guest was amazing and I truly enjoyed her work. I found each of her poems to be inspiring, uplifiting, and thought provoking. Hopefully UP will bring her back again soon!

Last but not least...Spring Break is almost here! What do I have planned?...Rest and relaxation! It may sound boring to some, but as far as I'm concerned, a week without tests or homework will be just as good as vacation! I hope everyone else enjoys their Spring Break as well!

That's pretty much all I've got for now. I'll update again soon.

Hey girl! I miss you too! I start Spring Break this Friday after classes, and I told Andrew that I might stop by the high school to visit sometime next week. Hopefully I'll catch you while I'm there! How are things going? I hope that you're enjoying the last few months of your senior year at HP! Life is good here at Cap, and I can't wait until you join me! We'll most def have to hang out on campus! Take care! :-)
