Back To Class

Hey everyone! Spring Break is over. I hope you all enjoyed it. I spent the majority of my time catching up on rest. My favorite day of the week was Monday. I went shopping with my Mom! We also went to lunch and saw Madea's Family Reunion. It's a great movie. If you haven't seen it yet, you should!

In addition to that, I worked at the Rec Center and hung out with friends. The week went by so quickly, but at least there's a break in April! I can't believe the year is coming to an end. It seems like just yesterday, I was a timid incoming freshman! Now I'm on my way to becoming an upperclassman. I've adjusted to college life and I truly enjoy the experience. So many people have helped me, by way of becoming a mentor. Now I'm looking forward to helping someone else in the same way. My friends and I are applying to become Peer Mentors, to incoming freshman, for the Smooth Transitions Program. It was beneficial for us, not to mention...lots of fun!

Meanwhile, classes have resumed, and so have the tests! That made for a week filled with tutoring and studying. However, I did make room in my schedule for fun! I attended a "No Talent Show" on Monday night, with friends. It was a fundraiser for a Battered Women's Shelter in Columbus. The performances were hilarious, and it was for a great cause! The show served as a much needed break from studying! I also spent time out with a friend on Thursday. She and I ventured to Evolved after our classes. We got caught in the rain, and borrowed plastic bags from a store! We were a sight for sore eyes walking down the street with the bags on our heads to serve as umbrellas! The bus drivers on the road had no sympathy for us. They splashed huge puddles of water every time they drove by. We weren't able to laugh about it until we got to the car!

Anyway...that's it for now! I'll update again soon. There's a lot coming up next weekend at Cap! :-)
