Capital University students during a performance of "The Mystery of Edwin Drood."
Whether you prefer musical theatre or opera, women's chorus or mixed ensembles, the vocal department within Capital's Conservatory of Music has something to offer you. With several varied performing ensembles, both music majors and non-music majors have extensive opportunity to get involved.
The voice area of Capital's Conservatory offers several degrees, including concentrations in musical theatre and opera, as well as a dual education degree in conjunction with the instrumental department. For more information on degrees, see Music Majors.
Vocal Ensembles
Capital University has several opportunities to offer our students who love to sing.
Ensemble membership is open to all Capital students by audition, regardless of major. In fact, choir members represent nearly every major offered at Capital! Participation in a performing ensemble for three semesters satisfies the university’s General Education Fine Arts requirement. Why not do you something you love, and fulfill a course requirement at the same time?
