Although everything has been very busy and exciting around campus, it's definately time to venture out and explore more of Columbus. Tonite, my freinds and I are going downtown to walk around, hang out and just figure out what all there is to do around here! We're going to eat dinner here (advice: don't EVER pass up free food when you're in college), then catch a bus, and from there....our plans are up in the air. I really can't wait.
So, tonite will be good. Let me tell you al the awesome stuff thats been going on lately. I finally got one of my social work classes figured out and I will be doing some volunteer work at Maryhaven, a drug rehab/ mental health service. I'm really excited because this is what I want to do for a living. I'm officially done with my training for my work study, which is with the Capital Fund Phonathon team. This has proved to be an awesome opportunity. We call alumni and friends of the univeristy to update them about everyhting going on around campus and to ask for financial support. I also just found out yesterday that I'm going to be a Student Ambassador who gives tours and hosts overnight visitors( a chance all accepted students have to stay on campus and get a good feel for Capital). So, to say the least, I'm going to be busy, but it's going to be so much fun.
Tomorrow, for everyone who doesn't realize it, is the OSU vs. Texas game. Now that we all live in Columbus we are Crusaders as well as Buckeyes...so everyone cheer for O-H-I-O! Tomorrow night I'm going to visit my boyfriend in Dayton, so we'll probably go to a sports bar and grill or something like that to watch the game. So, yes I have a big weekend ahead of me. My friend Jill is here so I'll be ending this rather long blog.
TTYL guys!
