(CARY, N.C.)- Capital University’s women’s soccer team fell 2-0 Sunday to No. 2 College of New Jersey at the ESPIRIT D-III Festival in Cary, N.C.
After a scoreless first half, the Lions put their first goal on the board late in the 46th minute. The deciding goal came from sophomore Jillian Casey near the 50th minute.
Starting goalkeeper Courtney Allan (Sylvania/Sylvania Northview) earned four saves for the Crusaders.
Capital drops to 1-4 for the season and returns to the playing field Tuesday when they visit Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) for a 7:30 p.m. game.
