(URBANA, Ohio)--Capital University’s men’s golf team started off their 2006-07 campaign with a 14th place finish at the Urbana Invitational at Woodlands G.C. in Urbana, Ohio.
In the 27-hole event, Capital shot a 335 for the first 18 holes, and then turned it around with a 164 total for the finishing nine holes. The Crusaders total of 499 placed them 41 strokes behind the first-place host Urbana University.
Junior Mike Ott (Columbus/Franklin Heights) led all Capital golfers with nine-hole scores of 35, 41, and 42 to finish with a total of 118, placing him in a tie for 17th overall. Just behind Ott was the freshman duo of Dan Zaborsky (Dublin/Dublin Scioto) and Jeff Klenke (Springfield/Springfield Catholic Central) with scores of 119 and 122 respectively.
The Crusaders hit the links again this Friday and Saturday for the Muskingum Invite at Cambridge Country Club in Cambridge, Ohio.
