Master Promissory Note for Federal Stafford Student Loans

In order to receive a Federal Stafford Student loan at Capital University, the federal government requires you to complete a Master Promissory Note . To do this, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Admitted or currently attending Capital University.

  2. Applied for federal financial aid through the FAFSA form and Capital University has received the results. You will need to use your Federal PIN number for signing your Master Promissory Note, so be sure to have your number available before you complete the Master Promissory Note online.

If you do not have a PIN number, you may request a federal FAFSA PIN online.

  3. Your financial aid application has been reviewed by Capital University Financial Aid Office and a Financial Aid Award has been sent to you for the academic year indicating eligibility for a Federal Stafford Loan.

  4. All first-time borrowers at Capital University must complete loan entrance counseling online before a Stafford Loan can be certified.

  5. Effective October 1, 2002, government disbursement provisions required that all new student borrowers be subject to multiple disbursements and a 30-day DELAYED DELIVERY of loan proceeds to their student accounts.

Once you meet all of the conditions mentioned above, you may complete and sign the Master Promissory Note online using FASTLoans™ Online Student Loan Application.
