So. I haven't blogged since Cap's homecoming; I thought now would be a good time. I went home this past weekend to my hometown's homecoming game. Good ole Hillsboro, Ohio. We won, so that was exciting. Then my boyfriend and I ate at Gold Star Chili. For those of you who do not know what that is, it's yummy! Anyways, I saw a lot of people from high school that I havent seen in a long time! It was great. I cheered for six years so going back and watching the cheerleaders was very hard. I wanted to be out there so bad. But, my cheerin days are over. Oh well. Of course, I got to see my Mom which was awesome. She made Shepard's Pie, which we have here at Cap sometimes, but sorry MDR ( main dining room) crew, Mom's cookin is better, eventhough Cap's is close.

On a completely different note, I love how my classes here at Capital incorporate movies into the syllabus. I watched Super Size Me in my Lifetime Health class (which is required for all students here at Cap, along with 12 other University Core credits). I watched the movie Crash in Sociology, which is an absolutely AMAZING movie. If you have not seen it, I highly recommend it. It's basically about a clashing of cultures in today's society and how it affects just about everyone. It's awesome, opens up your eyes, is alittle hard to watch at times, but is worth it at the end. You learn alot. In my Intro to Social Work class I've watched Patch Adams, HIdden In America, and we will soon be watching Dead Man Walking. Most of you have probably heard of Patch Adams, but if you have't heard of HIdden In America or Dead Man Walking, there are amazing and they actually are very educational in regards to social work. I highly recommend them all! Also, we're watching Killing Us Softly in Sociology tomorrow and I've never seen it so I can't wait.

Midterm grades were posted today. I have good grades and I'm really excited. It is great motivation to receive good grades, let me tell you. You want to work even harder when you realize your hard work has paid off. I went to see Employee of the Month last night at easton Mall. That theatre is sweet and students get in a dollar cheaper. Any discounts are great, especially when you're in college!

alright well that was a long enough blog.

P.S. I will be giving my first tours as a Student Ambassador Friday. If you see me, say HI! Oh, and I get my first work study check tomorrow! YES!

 Adios
