Jessie Hampson (Lancaster/Lancaster) was named Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week.
Hampson was named MVP as she led the Crusaders to a 4-0 record winning the Thomas More (Ky.) Invitational in Crestview Hills, Ky. She had a .373 hitting percentage with 45 digs, 15 assists and 10 blocks.
Capital, ranked No. 22 in the nation, is 21-7 overall on the season and have won 13 of its last 14 matches. The Crusaders play Tuesday at John Carroll then host No. 21 Ohio Northern Saturday at 1 p.m. at The Capital Center.
