Many of Capital's 35,000 alumni and friends call Central Ohio their home. In many cases, their commitment to our community began with their first days on our campus.
We prepare our students to be independent and critical thinkers by drawing upon the Lutheran principle of free inquiry. We inspire our students to be morally reflective, spiritually alive and civically engaged.
We think this is just what is needed to keep our community informed and engaged and to maintain a vibrant workforce.
What We Do
Corporate and Foundation Relations builds enduring relationships with corporations and foundations by:
- Identifying opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships
- Seeking support for Capital's programs, buildings, scholarships and endowment
- Identifying internship, mentorship and research opportunities throughout the Central Ohio community
In addition to Capital's Board of Trustees, our President's Advisory Board advises Capital's President Denvy Bowman, and his staff on our community's needs and helps to identify business leaders who are instrumental to achieving our shared goals.
The President's Advisory Board includes:
- Mike Finissi, American Electric Power
- Linda Miller, NetJets
- Brian Hess, Tattletale Portable Alarms
- Mark Humrichouser, JAE Company
- Ed Overmyer, Willis, Hilb Rogal & Hobbs
- Suzanne Jenks, National City Bank/PNC
- Mark Studer, CallCopy, Inc.
- Katina Fullen, I Know I Can

We have received great support from both local and national corporations and foundations. A visit to campus and a look at the various named locations will give you an idea of the rich history Capital has with the business and foundation community.
