    • Biography

      Sharon Stohrer has taught voice and related areas such as acting and stagecraft, lyric diction and vocal pedagogy for Capital University, Kenyon College, New York University, the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York, Newberry and Anderson colleges in South Carolina; and Keene State College in New Hampshire.
       
      Her students have won numerous competitions, scholarships and fellowships for graduate study and several are pursuing careers in performance. She has directed programs of opera scenes, offered master classes on various topics and led workshops on overcoming performance anxiety for several schools and organizations.
       
      She adjudicated 2012 National Association of Teachers of Singing Artist Award auditions and workshops on performance anxiety given at University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, the Ohio State University and Kenyon College
