2011: Became the school’s first-ever qualifier for the NCAA Championships on Nov. 19 in Oshkosh, Wis., where she placed 163rd out of 277 runners with a time of 22:41.72 in the 6K race … All-Great Lakes Region and All-Ohio Athletic Conference … placed first on the team and in the top 35 of every race during the season … qualified for nationals with a time of 22:12.97, good for 13th place overall, at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 12 at Oberlin … won the Pre-NCAC Invitational (Sept. 17) with a time of 18:59.0, the second-best in school history … also placed in the top 10 in the GLCA Championship on Sept. 10 (7th, 19:14.2; 5K) and the OAC Championships on Oct. 29 (4th, 22:47.3; 6K) … finished 32nd at the All-Ohio Championships (Sept. 30) with a time of 19:23.36 … placed 26th at the Inter Regional at Oberlin (Oct. 15) with a mark of 23:16.2 in the 6K race2010 (Sophomore): Was Capital’s top-finisher in each meet this season…Became the third Crusader women to garner All-OAC honors with her 15th place finish at the OAC Championships (10/15) with her time of 23:24 (on the 6-kilometer course)…Capped off her season by finishing 54th out of 255 runners with a time of 23:18 (on a 6-kilometer course) at the Great Lakes Regional Championships (11/13)…Was the 22nd fastest women in Ohio Division III at the All-Ohio Championships (10/1), running the third-fastest time in school history in the process with her time of 19:13…Set the fourth-best time in school history the previous meet at the Otterbein Invitational (9/25), finishing in 26th place with her time of 19:44…Placed 28th with her time of 19:51 at the Friendship Invitational (9/18)…Started the season by breaking the 20-minute barrier with a time of 19:50 at the GLCA Championships.Freshman (2009): Finished either first or second for Capital in each meet…Placed second on the squad and 167th overall with her time of 26:36 at the Great Lakes Regional Championships… Ran a time of 25:05 to finish 55th at the OAC Championships…Led the team with her season-best time of 20:41 at the Wilmington Classic…Placed in the top-100 of Division III Ohio runners by placing 98th with time of 22:26 at All-Ohio Championships…Paced the Crusaders with her time of 20:52 at the Friendship Invitational…Finished ninth overall with her time of 21:17 in her first collegiate meet at Wittenberg.Prep: Earned 12 total letters in basketball, cross country, and track…Was All-Ohio in basketball, and an All-Area First Team selection…Scored 1,000 career points in basketball.Personal: Majoring in Exercise Science, with a minor in coaching, Emma’s goal is to one day be a personal trainer and a college cross country coach…Parents are John and Denise McCarron…attended Crestview High School where she participated in cross country, basketball, and track…Emma’s favorite movie is Madagascar.
