Capital University has introduced a new option for people who want to complete their Bachelor of Social Work degree, but who also want to balance the demands of work, life, family, commuting and more.

Capital’s weekend social work degree-completion program is the perfect fit for candidates who hold an Associate Degree in the social work field and have long commutes and other obligations during the week that prevent them from taking evening classes.

Through Capital’s newest degree-completion program, students can finish the majority of their Bachelor of Social Work degree in two years or less by attending bi-weekly Saturday classes online and on Capital’s convenient and beautiful Bexley campus.

Summer semester classes begin May 11, 2015. The deadline to apply for the summer semester is April 15.

For more than 30 years, Capital’s social work program has been instrumental in propelling students into the workforce and to some of the most prestigious graduate programs in the state.

      Here are some program highlights:

      • We’re accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, enabling Capital graduates to be eligible for enrollment in a one-year accelerated Master of Social Work program.
      • We boast a nearly 100 percent job placement rate for our graduates.
      • Capital has liberal transfer agreements with local community colleges, allowing students to complete their degree in less than two years.
      • We offer a discounted tuition rate for adult degree completion students.
      • We offer a biweekly/hybrid class structure that balances online and in-class learning to create flexibility for our students.
