When weather conditions are extreme, Capital University will make every attempt to remain open and hold classes. But on occasion, the University must cancel classes or close altogether in the interest of maintaining a safe and healthy living, learning and working environment for all students and employees.
Please be familiar with the University's severe weather operations policy so you know where to go to find the most up-to-date information, and so you know how to respond accordingly. The policy recently was updated with a broader definition of essential personnel and a change in the status of offices when classes and activities are canceled, but the University remains open.
In addition to these updates, the University has added to the tools it will use to communicate official changes in operating status. Capital now will use the following communication tools:
TV: NBC 4, ABC 6, WBNS 10 TV, FOX 28, Ohio News Now (ONN)
Radio: WBNS AM 1460 and FM 97.1, WSNY FM 94.7, WODB FM 107.9, WJZA FM 103.5/104.3, WJZK, WTVN AM 610, WNCI FM 97.9, WCOL AM 1230 and FM 92.3, WFJX FM 105.7 and WLZT FM 93.3
