Commencement Volunteers Needed

On Saturday, May 3rd, the Office of Conference Services needs your assistance in making Capital University’s 164th Commencement a memorable event for the graduates and their families.  We are looking for volunteers to fill a variety of positions including distributing programs, greeting guests, ushering guests and assisting with the after-graduation gate ceremony.

On Friday, May 2nd volunteers are asked to attend a brief 30-minute session in the Capital Center Lobby. We will start promptly at 3:00pm.

On Saturday, Commencement will take place at 2 p.m. in the Capital Center Field House and doors open to guests at 12:30 p.m.  Volunteers are needed on Saturday from 9:30am-3:30pm and 11:30am-5:00pm.We ask that all volunteers report to the Capital Center Lobby for check-in. As a thank you for your time and efforts, all-day refreshments will be provided on the 2nd floor (Moe Lounge) starting at 9:30am with a hot breakfast starting at 11:00a.m.

Volunteering at Commencement is a great way for faculty and staff to say farewell to the students they have watched grow over the past four years, and a way for students to see their fellow classmates become Capital Graduates.

If you would like to be a part of this exciting and memorable occasion please e-mail or call Era McMahon, Director of Conference Services (empds@capital.edu, 614-236-6403) no later than Wednesday, April 30.
