Mission and Vision
Blackmore Library contributes to the University’s mission by providing access to
resources and services, supporting information literacy, and curating strong
collections. We enhance scholarship and personal development for the University
community by creating an environment conducive to inquiry, research, and

Access: Facilitate the discovery of information resources by
managing current and relevant print and electronic collections which aid and
enrich the University curriculum.
Service: Meet and anticipate the evolving needs of the
University community by continually improving professional skills and
identifying trends in research and scholarship, while providing high quality
Environment: Maintain an atmosphere that supports critical
thinking and collaboration by offering open and inviting spaces, such as
classrooms, group study rooms, and quiet study areas.
