Required Documents for Undergraduate Admission
  • To apply for admission as an undergraduate, make sure you submit these required documents:

    • Your admission application, either online  or printed (PDF). 
    • An official transcript from your high school.
    • Your ACT or SAT scores.
    • Our ACT code number is 3242, and our SAT code number is 1099. Make sure you enter the appropriate code number on your test form(s) so we can receive your scores.
    • Counselor Information Form (PDF) completed by your guidance counselor.
    • Official transcripts from any schools where you have taken college courses.

    Conservatory Students

    To apply to the Conservatory of Music you must first be admitted to the university. Then you will need to complete an audition application.

    Transfer Students

    If you’re interested in transferring to Capital, make sure you understand the transfer student admission process and admission requirements.  

    Homeschooled Students

    If you are a home-schooled student, please review the admission criteria for home-schooled students, and remember to submit the following:

    • Your admission application, either online or printed (PDF).
    • Your ACT or SAT scores.
    • Our ACT code number is 3242, and our SAT code number is 1099. Make sure you enter the appropriate code number on your test form(s) so we can receive your scores.
    • A transcript or written listing of the courses completed during the high school years, includ­ing any grades earned in courses.
    • Three written recommendations
      •  one from your instructor (in place of the counselor evaluation)
      •  two from outside your school instruction, such as a coach, employer, pastor, sponsor of an extracurricular activity, or teacher of any kind of private instruction (music lessons, etc.).
       
    • Official transcripts from any schools where you have taken college courses.
