Crusader Athletics Update – Monday, October 8, 2012

With the close of non-traditional seasons last week, cross country, football, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball take center stage with approximately three weeks left in the regular season.

Crusaders Stunned in First Overtime Against Wilmington

COLUMBUS – The Capital University men’s soccer team played a strong second half to force overtime Tuesday, but ended up on the wrong end in a 2-1 defeat against Wilmington in an Ohio Athletic Conference showdown at Bernlohr Stadium.

Capital Back to .500 in Conference With Win

The Capital University volleyball team used a strong offensive performance Tuesday to defeat Wilmington 25-13, 25-16, 25-13 in an Ohio Athletic Conference match-up in Wilmington, Ohio.

Two-Minute Barrage Sends Capital to OAC Win

COLUMBUS – It took a while, but the Capital University women’s soccer team remained undefeated in the Ohio Athletic Conference Wednesday with a 2-1 victory over Wilmington at Bernlohr Stadium.

Crusaders Face Challenge at No. 1 Mount Union

The Capital University football team looks to snap a three-game losing streak, its longest since 2008, on Saturday at Mount Union, the consensus No. 1 team in the country, at 1:30 pm in Alliance, Ohio.
