Capital University's Music Technology program will host a Skype session with Flemming Rasmussen, audio engineer, producer and mixer best known for his work with Metallica.
The session will take place at 10 am Friday, November 8, in the Bridge of Learning. About 170 students are expected to attend.
Credited especially for his work in heavy metal, Rasmussen produced Metallica's Ride the Lighting, Master of Puppets and And Justice for All albums. He's helped create more than 150 albums spanning many genres, including his latest project, Blind Guardian's A Traveler's Journey Through Space and Time, which he engineered and produced. He won a Grammy for best metal performance — Metallica's One — in 1989.
Flemming currently resides in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Capital's Music Technology Area offers two program options for our students. The outcomes of the two degrees are very similar — to provide a diverse curriculum in Music Technology that prepares students for an exciting career in multiple areas.
