When weather conditions are extreme, Capital University will make every attempt to remain open and hold classes.
But on occasion, the University must cancel classes or close altogether in the interest of maintaining a safe and healthy living, learning and working environment for all students and employees.
Please be familiar with the University's severe weather operations policy so you know where to go to find the most up-to-date information, and so you know how to respond accordingly. The policy defines essential personnel and what it means for classes to be canceled and for the University to be closed. It also lists the communication tools we'll use to notify everyone of changes in operating status.
Read the policy.
