The Office of Diversity and Inclusion challenges the Capital University community — student organizations, athletics and recreation teams, residence halls, administrative offices and academic departments — to a canned food competition.
Teams are asked to collect a minimum of 75 canned food items to be donated to a local food bank. The team that collects the most cans will receive a $100 gift card from Donatos Pizza.
Those participating in the challenge can drop off cans and get an official count at the Office of Diversity and Inclusion on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2-4 pm. Track progress on our Facebook page.
All donated food items must be delivered to the Harry C. Moores Student Union by 2 pm Monday, January 20 — the afternoon of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Learning, which will include a service fair.
That day, Capital University will hold its 23rd annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Learning. This year's theme is Building Bridges Through Peaceful Action. Find out more at about Capital's annual celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. King at www.capital.edu/mlk-day or call 614-236-6181.
