Choral Union
  • The Capital University Choral Union, established in 1992, is one of the premier volunteer choirs in central Ohio, distinguished by its keen musicianship and challenging repertoire. Under the direction of Dr. Lynda Hasseler, the ensemble performs literature that spans the history of choral singing, from the Middle Ages through the 21st century. Its members are singers from communities throughout the region, including Capital alumni, Chapel Choir alumni, faculty, staff and students. The Choral Union participates annually in the Capital University Christmas Festival and presents two other concerts a year, one of which features a work with an orchestra. Past major works have included Orff's Carmina Burana, Poulenc's Gloria, Walton's Belshazzar's Feast, Ola Gjeilo's Sunrise Mass and Requiem works by Mozart, Verdi, Brahms, Faure and Dan Forrest.
