On Wednesday, July 8, 2015, the Capital University community was joined by community leaders, business and elected officials, trustees, alumni and more for a celebration marking the official groundbreaking for the new Convergent Media Center. Capital's newest academic space will be a 34,430-square-foot active learning hub that will support current and emerging degree programs that embody technical arts and convergent media, and that will flourish in an interdisciplinary, creative and collaborative environment. The building will serve existing programs with demonstrated promise through enrollment growth and innovative teaching, including bachelor’s degree programs, majors, minors and concentrations in Music Technology, Communication, including electronic media, film, radio and television, Professional Writing and Creative Writing, along with Journalism, Marketing Studio Art and Art therapy, and more. #CapLeads #Convergence - Video by Daniel Stemen '16, Electronic Media and Film Major
