Meet the Chef
  • Scott Rattan, CEC

    Executive Chef Scott Rattan, CECA 31-year veteran of the food service and restaurant industries, Chef Scott Rattan joined Parkhurst at Capital University in 2003. Chef Rattan shares his culinary passion, "Working with food is a true art that I get to recreate every day."

    Scott is a certified ServSafe instructor, providing Parkhurst associates with comprehensive food safety training. A member of the Parkhurst Local Foods Advisory Board, he strives to partner with local farmers and producers of food in central Ohio to support local agriculture and the local economy. Chef Rattan started his culinary career as a line cook for Jimmy Dean Restaurants. In 1998 he earned designation as a Certified Chef de Cuisine through the American Culinary Federation, and in 2010 he upgraded his certification by earning the Certified Executive Chef designation through the same organization. He has previously served as Executive Chef at the Marriott Northwest and Executive Corporate Chef for Abercrombie and Fitch. Chef Rattan credits most of his executive culinary skills to his experience with the renowned 55 Restaurant Group.
