Since its dedication Homecoming Weekend 2007, the beautiful Plaza at Mound Street has quickly become a place for the Capital community to come together. To celebrate the long-awaited closure of Mound Street and the creation of the plaza, the Alumni Advisory Board instituted an ongoing fundraising campaign to give alumni and friends the opportunity to leave their mark on campus and a legacy that will be enjoyed by future generations of Capital students. Choose to engrave your name and graduation year, the day you married your Capital Sweetheart or the day your child - a future Crusader - was born. For $10,000 you may choose to engrave a plaque marking one of 10 benches in the Plaza. Availability for benches is limited and requests will be honored as they are received. Since its extensive renovation several years ago, the hall has become a premier facility for concerts and lectures by members of the University community as well as many other Central Ohio organizations and national touring companies. Your 50th reunion is a very special milestone—The Golden Anniversary. Your 50-Year Reunion Class Gift gives you and your classmates an opportunity to support their university at a momentous time in your lives. Help your class achieve 100 percent participation, and make a statement about your alma mater and what Cap has meant in your life. Any gift made between your 45th and 50th reunions will count toward your 50-Year Reunion class gift. For example: if you are a member of the Class of 1965, any gift made between July 1, 2010, and June 30, 2015, will be added to the class gift total. Choose to support Capital University by proudly displaying license plates with Capital’s name and logo. Plates may be purchased through the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles. For each plate, the Bureau will deposit a portion of the fees ($25) in Capital’s Ackermann/Mattern Scholarship fund. The $25 is a tax deductible charitable gift.
