Our nursing programs are well respected by health care professionals. We think that’s because our approach is unique. At Capital University, you’ll get a firm grounding in clinical, technical and scientific knowledge, but that’s not all. We also teach students to think critically and develop leadership skills that will serve them well throughout their careers. And we balance coursework with clinical work, partnering with more than 80 organizations to give students a broad range of experience. No matter the degree program, you’ll learn in an intimate environment from respected professors. Learn more about our programs at an Adult and Graduate Education Nursing Program Information Session.
Our program is endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Certification Program, which means all graduates may take the holistic nursing certification exam. And since all of the programs we offer are based on principles of holistic practice, you’ll be well prepared.
Part of expanding your abilities is developing the ability to look inward. Our courses integrate self-care and personal reflection as an essential part of practice. The power of compassion on patient care is also something we’ll develop together.
You won’t find 400-seat lecture halls on our campus. Faculty members and advisers at Capital University provide one-on-one support whenever you need it, and you’ll learn in small group settings — enabling you to get more out of classes.
There are things that can’t be learned in books. We train nurses to be culturally competent, which prepares them fully for a diverse working environment. We also nurture leadership skills and social responsibility, so that graduates go on to careers of consequence.
