The Conservatory at Capital provides a wide range of musical opportunities for guitarists. Students may choose to pursue a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies, Music Industry, Music Education or Music Composition. A Bachelor of Arts degree in music is also available. In addition, the program offers ensemble training in a variety of styles. Guitarists have the opportunity to perform in such groups as the guitar workshop, guitar ensemble, jazz guitar ensemble, jazz combos, electronic music ensemble (MIDI-guitar), fusion band, rock ensemble and Big Band. Besides performing within the university setting, many students are able to find work playing and/or teaching in the central Ohio area while continuing their studies at Capital.
