Workshop Schedule

The Office of Information Technology offers workshop trainings to help you make full use of iLearn, WebAdvisor and other social learning tools. The following workshops have been scheduled and will require an RSVP to enroll. To register for these workshops and get location information, send an email to academictech@capital.edu. If you are unable to make any of the workshops but still need help please call 236-6508 to schedule a meeting with Autummn Caines.

Basic iLearn Training

iLearn will be the university's new learning management system starting summer 2012. Sign up for a hands-on training session to learn the basic foundation, navigation, look and options available to you within the iLearn system. Areas of study will include (but not limited to):

Basic Navigation	Course Layout and Setup
Adding Content to Your Course	Communications
User Management	Basic Grade Book Setup

Intermediate iLearn Training

This workshop is a two hour hands-on session that is the next level up from the basic foundational course. You should already be familiar with the iLearn look, feel and basic functionality. Prerequisite: iLearn basic training workshop. Areas of study will include (but not limited to):

The Five Different types of Discussion Boards	The Four Different Assignments
Using the Email Tool	Using the Calender Tool
Using the Attendance Tool

iLearn Gradebook

This workshop is a two hour hands-on session that will cover the fundamentals of the iLearn gradebook tool. Areas of study will include (but not limited to):

Aggregation Methods	Adding Categories and Items
Entering Grades	Weighting Grades
Viewing Grades as a Student
