Greg Kline, a former head men’s golf coach at Capital University, resumed the position in the fall of 2011.

Kline, who coached the Crusaders from 2005-07 while assisting the women’s team for one season, was named Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2006 after guiding Capital to a seventh-place finish. Most recently, Kline served as head boys’ golf coach at Fairfield Union High School in Lancaster, Ohio.

In his first season back at the helm, Kline guided Capital to a third-place finish at the OAC Championship as sophomores Clay Rice and Mark Williams were named to the All-OAC team by virtue of third and tied for sixth place finishes, respectively. The Crusaders won the Kenyon Fall Invitational (Sept. 24-25) and Rice won individual medalist honors at Kenyon and at the Shawnee State Invitational (March 16-17). Following the year, Williams and fellow sophomore Brian Zenk garnered Academic All-OAC accolades.

While at Fairfield Union, Kline propelled the Falcons from sixth place in the Mid State League in 2009 to a third-place finish in 2010 and a spot in the district tournament.

Prior to his first stint at Capital, Kline held coaching positions at Canal Winchester High School (1995-98, 2003-04) and Columbus State Community College (2000-02). As an assistant coach at Columbus State, he helped guide the Cougars to three conference titles and four regional championships. The team he helped coach in the fall of 2002 went on to win the NJCAA National Championship in the spring of 2003.

Kline has been an active member of the Professional Golfers’ Association since 1985.
