Transition to the Capital University family is not just for first-year students. Our orientation program is designed to provide parents and families the opportunity to connect with faculty, staff, and current students. At Capital University, we strongly believe that parents are partners in their student's new journey.
We plan both joint and separate sessions during orientation for parents and families. You will learn more about the programs and services Capital University provides to help your student to transition. You will also have time to meet with faculty, staff, and other parents and families.
Remember you’re not just joining Capital University - you are joining the CAP Family.
Registration will open by March 15, 2012. Make sure to coordinate with your student as they are completing their registration.
It’s going to be a busy day. But the day is filled with fun, insightful, educational, and tons of information. Yes, it will be busy, but you will have a great day and plenty of support throughout the day. Orientation check-in begins at 8 am and you should be done by 5 pm.
The 2012 Orientation Schedule will be posted soon.
For additional resources for parents and families, please visit our Parent and Family website.
There are a few things your student needs to do before orientation. We give them an orientation checklist to help keep them on track, but we thought you might want to take a look at it too.
Visit our Orientation FAQ for Parents to get answers to the most common questions about orientation, housing, and financial aid. If you don't find the answer there, you can always contact us at orientation@capital.edu.
