    Public Health - M.S.

There are 27 schools of public health. Students in these two year master's programs can specialize in epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, nutrition, preventative medicine, geriatrics, or health education. For instance, someone specializing in health services administration would concentrate in organization, policy formulation and analysis, finance, or economics and marketing. A person interested in epidemiology would be trained in the systematic study of the distribution and determination and disease of disability in population groups. Depending on the specialty, people in public health work in a variety of settings including government, hospital, relief agencies, rehabilitation centers, etc.
