    • Biography

      Sara Pardo Fishburn, described by The Chicago Tribune as an “irresistible charmer who brings show-stopping pizzazz to her singing and dancing,” is a versatile performer, transitioning seamlessly from operatic stages to light opera, musical theatre and beyond. She is praised for her “pure and seamless soprano,” “sensitive use of vocal color,” and “personality and sparkle” on stage. 

      Upcoming and recent engagements include Micaëla in Carmen with the Enid Symphony, Fiordiligi in Cosí fan tutte with Opera MODO (featured as a PBS broadcast in Detroit), Cio-Cio San in concert scenes from Madama Butterfly and Laetitia in The Old Maid and the Thief with Opera Project Columbus, and Sharon Graham in Master Class with CATCO/Opera Columbus. 

      Other favorite roles include: Adelaide (Guys & Dolls), Miss Jones (How to Succeed in Business), Marguerite (Faust), Baker’s Wife (Into the Woods), Catherine (Pippin), Lois/Bianca (Kiss Me, Kate), Nelly Nettleton (American premiere of Kálmán’s Arizona Lady), Emily Webb (Southeast premiere of Rorem’s opera Our Town), Ilia (Idomeneo), and the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro) performed at Sant’Ivo alla Sapienza in Rome, Italy.

      Ms. Pardo Fishburn, a native of Zanesville, Ohio, received her Master of Music degree and Professional Artist Certificate at the prestigious A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute, part of the University of North Carolina – School of the Arts, and her Bachelor of Music degree from The Ohio State University.
