Admitted Transfer Student Checklist

Use this checklist to help you through the enrollment process.

	Visit Capital Make the trek and visit campus. We offer group visit days and personalized visit days. If you schedule a personal visit, ask to meet with an academic adviser who can talk with you about how your college courses transfer to your major.
	Receive Merit Scholarships and Grants All accepted students will be notified of scholarship eligibility. If you are a music student your scholarship letter will be sent to you after your audition. 100% of full time daytime accepted students receive a merit scholarship from Capital. Eligible transfer students will also be invited to our full-tuition Transfer Fellowship if they meet the requirements to compete by May 1.
	Submit the FAFSA The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is your key to Capital University, state and federal money. You should file the FAFSA as soon as possible. Capital's financial aid code is 003023. Complete the FAFSA online.
	Review Your Financial Aid Award Financial aid awards will be mailed and available online for review in the spring. The award will tell you your total cost to attend Capital next year. Your admission counselor will be calling you and your family to answer any questions and explain our payment options.
	Submit Your Enrollment Deposit Your next step is to reserve your spot in the entering class. You must submit an advance deposit of $300 as a residential student or $200 as a commuting student no later than May 1. This payment is refundable upon written request until May 1, and is applied towards your annual fee. Pay the enrollment deposit online.
	Meet with an Academic Advisor and Register for Classes Your advising information will be forwarded to an academic advisor upon receipt of the enrollment deposit. You will meet with your advisor to register for classes for fall.
	Orientation We offer a great orientation program that allows you to meet faculty, schedule classes and meet fellow Crusaders. Register for orientation online.
	Send Your Final College Transcript Please request your final college transcript be sent to the Admission Office upon completion of your term. Set Up Your Capital Email Account You will receive an e-mail from Information Technology (IT) titled “Your Capital University Account”. The e-mail contains information on retrieving your account and setting a new password. Please set-up your e-mail account prior to attending orientation.
