We are excited about your participation in the Summer 2014 Orientation program and have designed a program to:
We recognize that transfer students bring a wealth of knowledge to Capital with them and want to spend time during Orientation connecting them with members of our faculty, staff and current student body. We’re happy that you’ve chosen Capital as your new educational home, and we strive to make your transition as seamless as possible. Have lingering questions about your major, required classes, financial aid, or campus involvement? Bring them to Orientation and let us answer them for you!
Summer Orientation is mandatory for all new students and the sessions are designed to help you successfully transition to the University. The summer orientation program is free to students and their first two guests, but there is a charge of $30 for each additional guest/parent. Fees for any additional guests are due the morning of Orientation registration. These fees are payable by cash or check only.
You can register for Summer Orientation online. Please email the orientation office at email@example.com if you need to make changes after your initial registration. Student move in will take place in the morning, and the Orientation Session will begin at Noon. More information will be mailed to you at the beginning of August. It's finally here - your first day on campus for fall semester. Fall Orientation begins on August 21, 2014 with first-year student move-in. So first things first, learn about how to get your stuff into your room.Then join us for 2018 fest where you can meet other students, Capital staff, and local vendors, plus grab some free samples. Later that afternoon we will come together for Opening Ceremony, followed by the Gate Ceremony, where the entering class will make their way through Capital's Memorial Gateway. Hint: your parents will want to know about this photo opportunity.After that we host the family picnic, so enjoy those last moments with your parents and family before we send them home.
