Post-Masters Nurse Educator

If you are a master's-prepared nurse and are looking to broaden your career opportunities, Capital University's post-master's certificate program is for you. It has been designed to prepare advanced nurses for teaching positions in collegiate and health care settings. 

• Four semesters in length (16 months) 
• Part-time study; two course per semester 

The program gives you the essential knowledge and skills you need to succeed in:  

• Classroom and clinical instruction Curriculum development 
• Student evaluation 
• Use of technology in education 

You can specialize in collegiate education, staff development, or continuing education. Learning experiences include both theory and concept development as well as praxis in teaching.

 Admission Requirements

For admission to the certificate program, we require:    

• A master's degree in nursing or a related health field from an NLN- or CCNE-accredited program 
• Current unrestricted, unencumbered Ohio RN license 
• A completed application (PDF) 
• Your official college transcripts, both undergraduate and graduate 
• Two written professional references with our reference form (PDF)
