    • Biography

      Dr. Christine Zamaripa is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Capital University. She has over 18 years of experience in teaching in higher education. During this time, she has had the opportunity to mentor learners in the classroom, in clinical settings and in the laboratory through simulation. She is passionate about facilitating learner’s growth though active learning. Her clinical background is in Women’s Health. Dr. Zamaripa continues to practice clinically as a contingent bedside nurse in Labor & Deliver.

       

      Dr. Zamaripa’s scholarly interests focus around evidence-based educational practices. She collaborated to develop technology used nationally by nurse educators in a variety of settings to increase interactive learning. Her research interests including exploring nursing education from both the educator and learner’s perspective. She is particularly interested in growth and assessment of clinical judgment. She is an active member of a research group within the International Consortium for Outcomes of Nursing Education (ICONEd). She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, The Ohio League of Nursing, Kappa Delta Pi International Honors Society in Education and The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, as well as actively serving in the community.
