Jen Young earned her undergraduate degree in education from Concordia University. After graduating, she lived in both Florida and North Carolina, working as a teacher first and then as an instructional coach. During that time, she earned her National Board Teacher Certification and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from Nova Southeastern University. After eight years in a teaching role, Jen moved into school administration serving as Assistant Principal, Principal, and the district Director of Academics. Jen began teaching at Capital in 2020. She is passionate about sharing her 18 years of professional experience in the field with her students, and making the learning practical to everyday application.
