Jenna Alvarez is a doctoral student in Counselor Education in the Patton College of Education at Ohio University. She is a licensed professional school counselor with experience working at the elementary level. Additional school-related experiences include working as an intervention specialist at the middle school and high school. As a clinical intern, she worked in the community setting with children and adolescents, as well as the hospital setting focused on adults with addictions. Jenna is a strong advocate for disability training in counselor education programs. She has presented both regionally and nationally on topics such as school counselor technology practices as well as valid and reliable measures to enhance professional school counselors’ practice. Her research interests include counselor education, school counseling, disability training, online learning, and CACREP.
